Wrought iron balusters are used to highlight this staircase based on a 600- 4 Stair Plan

The picture above shows a painted timber staircase with curtail scroll starting tread (step) and handrail.  This was built square into the corner to avoid building a curved wall. 
 

The stairs use a closed string on the wall side and a cut string on the outer to display the colonial style featuring of the wrought iron balusters.
